Anna Freud

Born December 3rd 1895 - Died October 9th 1982

Born in Vienna, Austria, the daughter of the world's most famous psychoanalyst would go on to be a greatly respected and influential mind in her own right, credited with creating child psychoanalytical techniques that are still used to this day. She also wrote numerous books. Freud was an unremarkable student at school, instead gaining great knowledge from her father and his friends. Her first job was as a school teacher and it was her translating of her father's works that first arouse her interest in his field. She began her own child psychologist practice in 1923, eventually fleeing to London with her father to escape the Nazis. There she remained and worked up until her death over forty years later.

May her soul rest in peace.
