The late 1950's and early 60's saw him first work in television production, with "Thunderbirds" soon to follow. His other smash-hit shows include "Stingray," and "Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons." Mariam Amash: c.1888 – December 22nd 2012
Mariam Amash, who was possibly the world's oldest living person, has passed away. Her exact birthdate has never been officially established – the Guinness Book of Records has neither validated nor invalidated her claim – but if true, she was around 124. She was born in the north of Israel in the town of Jisr az-Zarqa, during the rule of the Ottoman Empire and spent the majority of her life there. Israeli authorities are also unable to establish whether her year of birth is correct. She reportedly had ten children, over a hundred grandchildren, 250 great-grandchildren and at least 20 great-great-grandchildren.
